Abel Marton Nagy’s Cosmos Band is a Vienna-based experimental-pop-rock band known for playing exclusively original music, featuring twisted musical ideas and an energetic delivery often compared to Frank Zappa and Louis Cole.

Abel writes music from a deeply personal perspective while constantly experimenting with various influences, including 60s psychedelic music, grunge, and contemporary pop.

The Cosmos Band has undergone an exciting evolution, continually pushing musical boundaries since its inception. With a flexible lineup that adapts to the band’s ever-evolving sound, they have been active on the scene since 2021, releasing a live album and 4 studio albums. Over their first three years, they’ve collaborated with 53 exceptional artists, each adding a unique flavor to Abel’s music.

Abel received the Junior Prima Prize as recognition of his exceptional musicianship from the Hungarian Prima Primissima Foundation in 2024, while the Cosmos Band was recognized by the Music and Art University of Vienna with the Joe Zawinul Prize in 2021.
